Wrecks, whales... and icebergs

Back from the rock as its called. We just spent a week in Newfoundland diving the wrecks of Bell Island, sunk by u-boats during WWII, snorkeling with whales and hunting for icebergs.

The wrecks are all huge and you definitely need to dive them more than once to get a good idea of all there is to see on them.

As for the whales, we saw many but we were just early of the capelan run so they were harder to approach but we were still able to jump in and get a good look.

The icebergs were mostly North of us and the one we found was too dangerous to dive around. It actually broke, almost in two, before our very eyes. Glad we were still on land!

Our week ended with the traditonal Screech ceremony. We all kissed the cod and are new honorary Newfoundlanders!

Thanks Rick, Debbie and all the staff at Ocean Quest!
